Start with your sales channels
If you use only one channel, first check its own calendar and messaging tools. When you add another channel or a direct booking page, write down how dates are blocked today and who checks changes. A calendar import may suit a low-volume setup, but it should not be treated as equivalent to a full rates-and-availability connection.

Compare the annual cost with time spent updating channels and handling corrections. Include setup, payment charges and any additional modules. Make a booking, move its dates and cancel it; check both channels after each action. Choose the smallest setup that passes that test.
